An Introduction To Small Water Systems

An Introduction To Small Water Systems is a mandatory component of the Small Water System Operator Training Program. The course identifies the guidelines, regulations, and public expectations related to public water systems, and explains the multi-barrier approach to providing safe, clean, reliable drinking water.


Monitoring and Sampling

Water Monitoring and Sampling is a mandatory component of the Small Water System Operator Training Program. The course describes the required activities related to water testing, sampling and monitoring.


Understanding Drinking Water

Understanding Drinking Water is a mandatory component of the Small Water System Operator Training Program. This course examines the water cycle, water sources, water contaminants, and the water characteristics that determine if water is meeting quality requirements.


Water Treatment and Distribution

Water Treatment and Distribution is a mandatory component of the Small Water System Operator Training Program. The course identifies and describes the stages in the conventional water treatment process and the basic components of the water distribution system.


Lockout / Tagout

The term "Lockout/Tagout" refers to specific practices and procedures to safeguard workers from the unexpected energizing or start-up of machinery and equipment, or the release of hazardous energy during service or maintenance activities. Lockout/Tagout explains the importance of Lockout/Tagout in protecting the health and safety of workers. The course examines basic workplace safety tenets and examines the specific stages and procedures of the Lockout/Tagout process.


Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)

In the TDG course you will learn - Introduction to TDG, its regulations and proper training, proper documentation, safety marks and means of containment, forbidden goods, exemptions and special provisions as well as, immediate reporting and procedures to follow in the event of an emergency. A printable certificate is available upon completion.

Those transporting dangerous goods by Air, Sea or Rail require additional training that is not included in this program.

Also Please Note:  A“Site” or “Job” specific orientation potential hazards  is also required by the employer to fully comply with all safety legislation.

Although this is a nationally recognized course, if you are currently unemployed and seeking employment it is up to your new employer to accept any prior training. They may still require you to re-train once hired.


Supervisor Health and Safety Awareness

This course provides supervisors with health and safety awareness training.  Content includes information about the health and safety duties of employers, supervisors and workers, the rights of workers, and the recognition and control of workplace hazards.


WHMIS 2015 (GHS)

WHMIS 2015 (GHS) online course is based on the current legislation and meets the legislated requirement for general WHMIS implementation as of December 1, 2018. Employers must also provide workplace-specific training and instruction for each of the hazardous products in the workplace.
